NOVA Soccer Academy
NOVA Soccer Academy combines soccer skills and drills, fitness training, team building exercises, soccer theory and creative scrimmages for a unique experience. On the first day, coaches will identify campers' ability levels and group them on a blend of age and soccer IQ. This camp is for campers hoping to learn to play at a high level.
Training will focus on ball manipulation, passing, shooting, strength & conditioning, and soccer theory. The coaches, who come from different parts of the world, are expert soccer coaches with professional playing experience. Their goal is to help shape a well rounded experience for campers.
Sample Daily Schedule:
9:00-9:30 Welcome & warm-ups (team building and intro games)
9:30-10:45 Foundation (fitness, agility and conditioning)
11:00-11:30 Skills activities (dribbling, passing, shooting and ball control)
11:30-12:00 Theory activities (attacking, defending and transition
12:30-1:45 Scrimmages and more
1:45 - 2:15 Pool time
2:30-3:00 Cool down and dismissal
Rodolfo was born and raised in Costa Rica. He played professional soccer in Central America and Qatar, and has won numerous awards for coaching soccer in the DC area, including coach of the year by DC United. He coaches the Cardinals; a division team that is based out of Washington DC and has teams that have won the Harvest Cup in Beltsville 3 years in a row. Rodolfo receives yearly training by the US Soccer Foundation, NSCAA & USSF. His coaching style emphasizes the importance of being a disciplined and respectful player with a strong soccer foundation.
