Camp Shakespeare

At Camp Shakespeare, young actors dive head first into the world of the greatest playwright in history: William Shakespeare. Under the guidance of theatre professionals from the Shakespeare Theatre Company, participants unravel his plays with text analysis; transform into Shakespeare’s characters through voice, movement and improvisation work; wage battles against mortal enemies with stage combat; and develop fundamental acting skills using classical theatre techniques. To culminate the session, participants stage a performance for friends and family at the Potomac School.

Camp Shakespeare at Summer@Potomac will explore Shakespeare’s Hamlet, Shakespeare's ultimate tragedy of a Danish Prince who decides how to revenge his father's death.

Performance Date and Time: Friday, July 20 at 5:00 pm

Please Note: There is NO bus transportation provided for this camp due to the 10 am start time and 5 pm dismissal time. All Camp Shakespeare campers must arrive by car.
