Recent Graduate Named "Extraordinary Teen"

Arlington Magazine recently named Kasim Khapra ’20 as one of their 11 “Extraordinary Teens” for 2025. From advocating for policy changes at The Potomac School to making an impact on national political campaigns, Kasim is already charting an impressive course. The McLean teen, who hopes to someday serve in the Virginia state legislature or U.S. Senate, recently represented the Commonwealth in the prestigious 63rd annual U.S. Senate Youth Program.

A natural leader and accomplished debater, Kasim's drive extends beyond politics. He’s also the founder of MyPy Coding, a nonprofit that connects younger students with high school coding tutors. Learn more about Kasim's journey and his passion for the intersection of data and policy, which he'll pursue this fall at Harvard. Photo credit: Arlington Magazine (Donna Owens)
