Our private lessons program provides individualized, one-on-one instruction with experienced, professional musicians, all conveniently held on campus. Private Music lessons are tailored to each student's experience level and musical goals.
What to expect?
End of Year Recital
Every student's musical journey deserves a moment in the spotlight. Students will have the opportunity to showcase their growth and accomplishments at an end-of-year recital, a special celebration of their dedication, progress and the music they have learned throughout the year. More details coming soon, stay tuned.

The annual private music program includes 24 lessons, with tuition billed in 3 equal installments throughout the year. A one-time, non-refundable registration fee of $50.00 is due at the time of enrollment.

If you need to withdraw from the program, please notify the ETC Office (etc@potomacschool.org), the Program Coordinator (awynn@potomacschool.org), and your instructor in writing before the applicable payment date listed above. Please note that notifying your instructor alone does not complete the withdrawal process. If written notice is not received by the deadline, you may still be responsible for the next installment.
Attendance
- Students are encouraged to attend every lesson, as regular attendance is essential for steady progress.
- If a student will be absent, please notify the instructor, the Program Coordinator, and the ETC Office by 6:00 pm the day before the scheduled lesson.
- If the absence is due to illness please notify all parties as soon as you are able to.
Practice
- Regular practice is one of the most important factors in a student's musical growth.
- Your child's instructor will provide personalized practice recommendations based on their experience and goals.
- If your child is new to music and/or you are planning to purchase or rent an instrument, please check with your child's instructor first.
Refunds
- If your child's instructor needs to cancel a lesson, every effort will be made to schedule a make-up lesson.
- If the instructor cannot arrange a make-up lesson, you will receive a refund for that lesson.
- Refunds cannot be issued for cancellations or withdrawals submitted after the applicable deadlines listed above.
