The girls varsity squash team beat Mercersburg Academy 7-2 during their first hosted match at the new Spangler courts. The top seven players in the team’s lineup did not drop a game, and many Panthers held their opponents to a total of fewer than four points per match.
In the 30th annual Potomac School Tip-Off Tournament, the boys basketball team managed to win the championship! On Friday, the squad defeated Sandy Springs 81-55 in the home season opener.
Following recent victories over host Episcopal High School's boys varsity and boys JV squash teams, the boys varsity squash team traveled to Woodberry Forest School on Saturday, January 19 to play in the Mid-Atlantic Squash Organization League Championships.
The varsity softball team improved its overall record to 21-1 and 5-1 in the ISL with three more wins. Last Thursday, the Panthers played a game under the lights at Yorktown High School.
The Panthers took on a tough Flint Hill team last Tuesday. Potomac had the edge early in the match, leading 3-1, but the remaining matches were all close.
The 2019 varsity golf team concluded its season by winning the MAC Championship. The Panthers last won the tournament in 2002. The team finished with 8-1 overall record.
Congratulations to the varsity volleyball team, who were undefeated in the ISL A division!
The girls varsity tennis team finished a stellar season by clinching a State Championship title! The team played 12 regular season matches and won 11 of them, falling only to Bullis in a tight 3-4 defeat and ending the regular season as ISL co-champions.
The Potomac girls varsity soccer team finished its season as the NoVa Invitational Tournament Champions! There were nine teams in the tournament, and Potomac entered as the #2 seed.
