Coach Berg Bio

A native of northern Virginia, Claire Berg attended the Holton-Arms School, where she was a three-sport athlete in soccer, basketball, and lacrosse. During her time at Holton, Claire was named a U.S. Lacrosse All American in 2002, 2003, and 2004. In 2003, she competed on the U.S. Under-19 team that captured gold at the IFWLA World Championship. Claire later played lacrosse at the University of Virginia, where her team captured three ACC championships and appeared in two NCAA Tournament championship games. As a senior, she was named a co-captain and earned First Team All American honors. In 2017, Claire was inducted into the Potomac Chapter of the U.S. Lacrosse Hall of Fame for her efforts both as a player and a coach. This spring will mark Claire’s sixth season as Potomac’s head varsity coach. Under her leadership, the Panthers have advanced to the state tournament in 2015, 2016, and 2017 and captured the ISL A Division title in 2014.
