Marty Hublitz grew up in northern Virginia and attended St. Stephen’s School, where he played #1 singles for five years and participated in varsity soccer and cross country. He was recruited to play Division 1 tennis for The George Washington University, where he played in the #1 spot for all four years, winning one conference championship. Marty went on to coach the team at GW for four years, securing one Eastern 8 Conference championship. In his nine years with Potomac’s boys varsity team, Marty has compiled a record of 152-27, 8 conference titles, and 3 VISAA state championships. In each of the seasons that Marty has coached, his players have moved on to continue their careers playing either Division I or Division III college tennis. Most recently in 2017, the Potomac varsity boys won the VISAA state championship and Marty was named the VISAA Coach of the Year and All Met Coach of the Year by The Washington Post.
