Winning Week for Panthers, Five Teams Ranked in VISAA Top 10
It is hard to believe, but we have about a month left of spring sports! The Panthers kept up the strong spring performances amidst the tough weather last week.
 
Last Wednesday, boys varsity tennis topped Highland School 9-0, and varsity baseball traveled to Saint James and returned with an 18-3 victory. On Friday, girls varsity lacrosse defeated Holy Child 13-8, and boys varsity lacrosse fell to Collegiate on the road in Richmond by a score of 4-8. Saturday saw the girls lacrosse team continue their trial by fire as they played #20 in the country, Good Counsel (8-13 loss), and #21 Notre Dame Prep (7-8 loss) at the Spring Fling hosted by St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes.
 
Tuesday of this week, the girls varsity lacrosse team scored a big 13-8 victory over ISL rival Stone Ridge, who currently resides at #16 in the national rankings. The boys varsity lacrosse team traveled to MAC foe St. Andrew’s Episcopal, earning an 11-5 victory. The varsity softball team took down ISL foe Holton-Arms in an exciting 5-4 game.
 
In the most recent VISAA State Rankings, we have five teams. Boys lacrosse currently sits at #10, softball at #6, golf at #3, boys tennis at #3, and girls lacrosse at #2. Way to go, Panthers!
