Varsity Baseball Wins at Capital One Park
Prior to their Monday game at Capital One Park, the varsity baseball team took a minute to check out the solar eclipse. Then, they went to work putting together an impressive 11-1 win over visiting St. Andrew's. The team is off to a 7-3 start and is currently first place in the MAC at 5-0 and ninth in the VISAA state rankings. The team went 2-2 over Spring Break at the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, SC, and has gone on a five-game winning streak since, including an exciting 8-7 walk-off victory in extra innings over Sidwell Friends last week. Two big home games are on deck today (April 11) against Maret and Friday, April 12, vs. Bishop O'Connell. Both begin at 4:30 pm.
