The track and field team got off to a flying start with three meets over five days. Most of the team started the season at the Cronly Invitational at Episcopal High School on Friday, April 5. In cold and windy conditions, Ve Lee ‘24 had a couple of standout performances, running a huge PR in the 400m event and debuting in the 300m hurdle event with a 3-second win and VISAA State Championship qualifying mark. Several athletes, including Potomac’s boys and girls 4x400m teams, competed at the Park Invite in Severna Park, MD, on April 5 and 6. They each also ran individual events. To round out the first week, we had a contingent that competed at St. Alban’s on Tuesday, April 9. Michele Horton ‘26 had a spectacular meet, setting five PRs in all five of her events (100m, 200m, long jump, triple jump, and high jump).
