Big Wins and Strong Showings Across Panther Spring Sports
Boys Varsity Baseball
The boys varsity baseball team kept a nice streak of MAC success going with a dominant 19-3 victory over Georgetown Day, and a 9-1 victory over Maret.
 
Girls Varsity Softball
Girls varsity softball had a bit of a lull at the end of last week with no games, but returned to action on Tuesday with a big extra-innings win over ISL rival Flint Hill, 10-6 in nine innings.
 
Boys Varsity Lacrosse
The boys varsity lacrosse team dominated St. Andrew’s Episcopal on Thursday, 18-1. On Saturday, they headed to Richmond to take on St. Christopher’s, eventually falling 9-11 in an action-packed game. They returned to MAC action on Tuesday against Maret for “senior day”, and won 14-1.
 
Girls Varsity Lacrosse
The girls varsity lacrosse took advantage of the day off from school on Friday, April 17, to head down to Richmond to play Collegiate School. The Panthers controlled most of the game against the Cougars and came away with a 15-7 victory. They then sojourned to Charlottesville to take on St. Anne’s Belfield on Saturday in a rematch of last year’s VISAA state championship. In a highly competitive game with multiple lead changes, the Panthers eventually fell to the host Saints 9-10 in overtime.
 
Boys Varsity Tennis
The boys varsity tennis team hosted MAC opponent St. Andrew’s on Thursday and beat them 6-1. On Friday, they hosted VISAA opponent Randolph-Macon Academy and dominated 7-0.
