Courtlynne Caskin Breaks Girls Career Scoring Record

After a tough win over Holton Arms, the Panthers and their fans celebrated the record-breaking accomplishments of senior Courtlynne Caskin. Courtlynne, who broke the girls career scoring record of 1,326 points last week, was honored before the game, as Head of School John Kowalik presented her with a special game ball. Caskin was featured in a January 8, 2018 article in the Washington Post.

Congratulations to senior Courtlynne Caskin and junior Grace Sherman for being named to the Washington Post girls soccer All-Met First Team. Courtlynne has committed to play lacrosse for UVA and Grace has verbally committed to Princeton for soccer. Senior Tracey Mills was named to the Second Team and has committed to play soccer for Dartmouth.

Junior Jack Rosener was named to the boys soccer Second Team.

Girls Varsity Tennis Moves to an Amazing 5-0

A September 18 match against powerhouse Walter Johnson put our girls up against four highly-ranked tournament players. Our strong doubles combinations (Katherine Davis and Anna Lerner; Izzy Moran and Natalie Davidson; and Jodie Kuo and Emma Lee) all won with decisive scores. With the match tied at 3-3, freshman Pearl Nguyen saved the day, coming from behind to win 11-9 in a match that took over 2 1/2 hours! The end result: Potomac 4, Walter Johnson 3.

Hublitz Named Coach of the Year

The Washington Post recognized Potomac tennis coach Marty Hublitz as All-Met Coach of the Year for boys tennis.

Hublitz recently completed his ninth year of coaching boys tennis at Potomac, having amassed a 152-27 record during that time. He has also spent two years serving as the head coach for Potomac's girls team.
