A Look Back Through
THE POTOMAC LENS

In the 1950s, the Intermediate School art classroom was alive with creativity. Professor Peppino Mangravite, who first taught at Potomac in 1925, returned regularly between 1952 and 1969 to lead art classes. A renowned professor, painter, writer, and critic, Mangravite brought distinction and vision to Potomac’s art program, inspiring generations of students and reinforcing the school’s dedication to artistic growth.
