8:30 am | Hear from The Dupont Circle Business Improvement District (BID) Patrick Kain '07, Chair, and Reed Landry '99, Vice Chair, will discuss managing public spaces, overseeing the $30 million Plaza/Streetscape project, and advancing economic development in the Dupont neighborhood.

Join in a discussion moderated by JP Young '15. You'll hear from our panelists Chris Graham, Bob Kettler, Ashley Gerstenfeld Wiltshire '90, and Kevin Woodley about the current state of the real estate and investment markets and their forecasts for the future.

Chris Graham

Chris Graham is a Senior Managing Director and Head of Global Investment Strategy at Starwood Capital Group, where he focuses on various investment strategies globally, and advises and mentors his investment teams around the world. He is also a member of the Firm’s Executive, Investment, and Disposition Committees.

Prior to joining Starwood Capital in 2002, Chris worked at CB Richard Ellis in Washington, DC, where he was Director of the financial consulting group for the Eastern Region of the US. He was previously Associate Director, Eastern Region, of CB Richard Ellis’ investment properties group.

Chris earned a BBA in Finance from James Madison University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently teaches 'Dealmaking in Real Estate' at Harvard Business School

Chris serves as a trustee at The Potomac School and is the father of both a current student and an alum.

Robert Kettler

Robert C. Kettler (Bob) is the Founder and CEO of Kettler, a leading real estate development and property management company with operations in the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Western United States.

Founded in 1977, Kettler is a vertically integrated real estate developer and property manager with expertise in master planned communities, complex commercial mixed-used, multifamily, retail, industrial and data center developments. Notable developed or co-developed projects include Metropolitan Park (home of the new Amazon HQ2), Tysons Corner Center redevelopment, Columbia Town Center redevelopment, Reston Town Center, The Boro, and currently a transformative 6.5mm sq. ft. mixed-used project in downtown Tampa, Gasworx. In total Kettler has developed 75,000 residential building lots, 10mm sq. ft. of office and retail, and has developed or acquired over 40,000 apartments.

Bob’s most memorable project was as a trustee of Potomac School and member of several capital campaign committees where he had a leadership role in the rezoning, planning and rebuilding of the Potomac School over the last 25 years.

Bob is the parent of four Potomac alums and ten grandchildren, three of whom are Potomac students.

Ashley Gerstenfeld Wiltshire

Ashley Gerstenfeld Wiltshire '90, a graduate of both the undergraduate and MBA programs at Duke University, has over 30 years of experience owning, operating, developing, and investing in real estate.

As Managing Partner of SJG, Ashley has overseen the development of over $600 million in commercial, residential, mixed-use, and retail projects in the DMV area and recently expanded operations to Richmond, Virginia. Notable projects include the historic Woodward Building in downtown Washington, DC, the first office-to-residential conversion, and key developments in Logan Circle, including Whole Foods Market. Currently, SJG is completing a mixed-use project in Richmond's Scott’s Addition neighborhood, featuring 300 apartment units and 13,000 square feet of retail space.

She is also a proud parent of three Potomac students.

Kevin Woodley

Kevin Woodley is a Managing Partner of BVO Capital. He is responsible for sourcing new investment and development projects throughout the Southeastern United States.

Prior to BVO, Kevin spent 15 years with Duball, LLC specializing in acquisitions, asset management, and development of over $600 million in assets. Kevin has experience with a wide variety of product types including: office, residential, mixed-use commercial, hotel, retail, and high-rise projects. He earned a BS in Finance from Santa Clara University and a MBA from Georgetown University.

Kevin is a parent of two Potomac students.

JP Young

Program Moderator, JP Young '15

JP Young ’15 is the founder of Young Capital Advisory, a real estate consulting firm based in the DMV. He develops investment and operations models for owners and operators, combining his passion for real estate and analytics. After graduating from Potomac, JP attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned Bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Finance. He began his career at Peaceable Street Capital, where JP worked on acquisitions, asset management, and investor relations. He then worked in Mastercard’s Data and Services division to improve their customer-oriented strategies. JP continues to contribute to the Potomac community as a member of the Alumni Governing Council and the Potomac School Real Estate Alumni Network.
