DEI Leadership Team
The Potomac Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Leadership Team is a group of administrators and faculty, representing all four divisions, who meet weekly to ensure that our community is supported. This team partners with other departments to move the DEI work, most notably the Commitments for an Inclusive Culture and Climate, forward. The weekly meetings also provide time for divisional sharing to remove silos and identify any trends that may be emerging across divisions. The members of this team also plan and lead professional development through our Anti-Bias/Anti-Racism (ABAR) workshop series and Cultural Competence Forums (CCF).

Cultural Competence, a Potomac Life Skill
We believe that culturally competent students will find more success as they navigate an increasingly global and diverse world. Cultural competence curriculum is a K-12 initiative to ensure all students graduate with "the ability to work effectively across differences with curiosity and humility, and without judgment" (Alison Park of Blink Consulting). A team of leaders are guiding the development of integrated K-12 lessons that teach and model cultural competence across all disciplines and grade levels.
Cultural Competence Curriculum Executive Committee
The executive team meets three times a year to think strategically about long-term goals and to monitor the progress of curriculum development from year to year.
