Doug joined Potomac in 2017 and served as Upper School head before moving to lead the Admission office. He has a deep commitment to our school’s mission, core values, and educational philosophy. In addition to his comprehensive knowledge of our Upper School, Doug has excellent working relationships with our other division heads and K-12 faculty – a key to success in this position. Alongside his role as an administrator, Doug has experienced Potomac as a parent of children in our Lower, Middle, and Intermediate Schools.
Prior to Potomac, Doug served as the Upper School Division Head at Saddle River Day School, and held a variety of positions at Princeton Day School, to include the dean of students and Spanish teacher. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Spanish and Education from Hartwick College and a Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania. His spouse, Lisa, is an Upper School science teacher at Potomac.
