Leadership Bios

Danyel O’Farrell joined the Potomac School as the Director of Human Resources in August 2016. She previously worked at The Washington Post as the Production Human Resources Manager. Danyel has a comprehensive understanding of HR practices and has experience in various HR roles, from recruitment, employee relations management, human resources generalist and leadership. She has demonstrated success implementing operational initiatives and proven effectiveness to deliver and implement effective HR Systems and programs that support organizational development, strategy and goals.

Danyel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management from the State University of New York at Oswego. Additionally, she holds two national human resources certifications, Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute and Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification.
