Fall Frolics

Carnival

The Fall Frolics Carnival is the highlight of the week’s activities and fun for the entire family. Bring your friends and neighbors to enjoy a day of frolicking .

Games and carnival rides located on the football field and staffed by Potomac parents, faculty and students will delight children of all ages. Face Painting, Tattoos, Hairspray, and Wheel of Fortune, staffed by our own Middle and Intermediate School students will be stationed around the Bus Circle.

Enjoy a great lunch or snack the day away with all the great food being served throughout the campus. Armands Pizza will be serving up a slice in the Bus Circle and our own Sage Dining will be grilling hamburgers, hotdogs and veggie burgers in the Holly Tree Square. Popcorn and waters will also be available right in the middle of the football field. When your sweet tooth starts calling, stop at one of our many Intermediate School Bake Sale booths conveniently located throughout the carnival, or take a treat home for dessert!

Returning this year, to help celebrate our 30th anniversary is the Senior Class Haunted House located in the pool house adjacent to the outdoor swimming pool.

If you are wondering how to carry around your candy from the legendary Candy Counter game, your prize tokens or your IS Bake Sale cupcake, just purchase one of our lightweight Panther Packs, being sold at all ticket locations.

All event parking will be on the Gum Tree Field. In the event of inclement weather or wet fields, parking but will be relocated to Langley High School, with available shuttle buses.

Haunted House

BEWARE! Something is haunted at Potomac School!

The Senior Class has taken the reins to return a cherished Potomac tradition – the Haunted House at Fall Frolics.  Kids young and old will test their nerves when they enter the transformed pool house and wind their way through a series of frightening, scary and all together spooky things.  Kids younger than 8 will be grouped together to ensure a fun experience but older kids beware – the seniors are planning to give you a fright!  Madame Babushka and Mademoiselle Fee Fee will tell your fortune and read your palm outside the house – just in case you want to know what lies ahead.
