Fall Frolics
August 2008
Dear Friend of The Potomac School:
This year The Potomac School celebrates the 31st year of a beloved tradition, Fall Frolics.
Over the last 30 years, Fall Frolics has grown to be a festival of events over three days that both children and adults eagerly anticipate. From its beginning in 1977 until now, Fall Frolics has raised over $6 million. This growth would not have been possible without the incredible support from our Potomac community.
Fall Frolics funds are crucial to the mission of The Potomac School. They provide student scholarships that help maintain a student body reflective of the varied economic backgrounds of the Washington metropolitan area. In addition, these funds finance faculty professional growth opportunities needed to enhance our students’ learning environment.
I am excited by all that Fall Frolics will offer this year. Our returning popular events for the week will include Marketplace, Nearly New, Potomac Bazaar, and the Student Raffle. As a result of the construction on campus, we will be hosting our events for the week near our new Upper School, taking advantage of the gorgeous tundra. Book your babysitter now for The Fall Benefit, which once again promises to be a fun night out with friends. The week will culminate with the Carnival of games and attractions for all ages. New this year…come cheer on the Panthers in a home Varsity football game immediately following the Student Raffle. This week of Potomac spirit is going to be a great start to the year!
We invite you to support Fall Frolics as a sponsor of this year’s celebration.
Thank you in advance for your support of our 31st year of Fall Frolics! Your generosity will directly affect our treasured teachers and deserving students.
Sincerely,
Anjali Gupta
Fall Frolics Chair
