Drone Mission Mania (7/9-7/13)
It's all about drone missions as campers learn the basics of drone technology and safety before taking to the air to fly and code the drones through an abundance of missions. Throughout the week, instructors will pose various challenges that campers must solve using drones. Missions include connect 4, Drone Basketball, King Kong, International Space Station Drone Docking, Harry the Hiker, and more!
Campers work to prepare for the most enjoyable part of the week - the Ultimate Drone Games where students collaborate, strategize, and create their own drone missions and then compete against one another. Participants will use the SWIFT programming language to accomplish many of these missions. Campers receive interactive workbooks to take home. Drone safety and the social responsibilities of flying drones are included in this program.
Drones to the Rescue (7/16-7/20)
Drone search and rescue is a necessity for first responders around the world, adding a new layer of solutions to save lives across the globe. Now campers can take part in and learn from simulated missions during this action-packed, creative, and educational program.
Campers learn to fly drones, and rely on their rescue team to collect vital data in specific "rescue areas", to locate "victims", and to safely rescue them. We use age-appropriate and cutting-edge technology methods for creating plans, missions, and maps. Campers also learn invaluable lessons on how to simply, quickly, and accurately make informed and targeted suggestions for real-world positive applications.
