• Community Day Celebrates Diversity

  Potomac’s Community Night has grown, attracting more and more people to this special event celebrating the diverse cultural heritages within our Potomac community. Thanks to so much interest and participation, we have expanded this event to include a full day of festivities, with activities for students during the school day and ethnic food and entertainment for families in the evening. Please mark your calendars for April 18, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm for students and 5:00 - 8:00 pm for students and families. This year’s theme is: "I am, we are, one community."

  And don’t miss the unveiling of our digital community quilt. Our quilt consists of images created by Potomac students. Each block expresses something unique about the artist’s identity. Click here to see all 656 squares.

  Potomac Announces 14th Head of School

  Posted February 11, 2013

  Potomac announced today that John J. Kowalik, Headmaster of The Peck School in Morristown, New Jersey, will be the next Head of School beginning July 2013. Larry Culp, Chair of Potomac’s Board of Trustees, said, “John Kowalik is a wise and gifted educator, with a rare combination of inspirational leadership capabilities and exceptional management skills. He is the right leader to build on [current Head] Geoff Jones’ remarkable achievements at Potomac during the last 13 years.”
