Libraries and Technology
The Potomac School has three libraries: The Granger Family Library (Lower School), the Arundel Family Library (Middle and Intermediate Schools), and the Engelhard Family Library (Upper School). The libraries’ primary mission is to collaborate with teachers and administrators to plan, implement, and evaluate instruction. By working under the model of inquiry-based learning, each of the three libraries helps students become critical thinkers, and skillful, responsible users of information. To this end, the libraries provide a collection of print and electronic sources that support the curriculum and new technologies in classroom learning and research. Additionally, the three libraries encourage and promote avid reading for students and the Potomac School community.

Technology at Potomac
Web Site and CampusNET ( www.potomacschool.org)
The Potomac School launched a redesigned Web site in August 2006, as well as a completely redesign CampusNET - the password-protected intranet for students, parents, faculty, and staff. The new public site has been designed to assist prospective applicants, potential faculty and staff, and the public interested in finding out more about Potomac. CampusNET will serve current students, teachers, and parents.
On CampusNET you will find:
- School news and announcements
- Paw Prints, lowercase and Midstream, our electronic newsletters
- School calendars
- Athletic news, schedules, and directions to games
- Parent, faculty, and student directories
- Art galleries
- Divisional news and contact information
- Faculty Web pages with news, resource links, and homework (IS and US)
- Transportation and bus change forms.
Your Username/Password
Each member of the community will receive in the mail a unique username and password. If you do receive or forget your passwword, please contact potomac@potomacschool.org and a new one will be sent to you.
Email Addresses
Paw Prints and other divisional newsletters, news, and any last-minute notices or emergency announcements are sent via email. Please send all your email addresses to potomac@potomacschool.org so that we can keep you informed.
