The physical education and athletic programs at Potomac support our belief that hard work, personal achievement, sportsmanship, and cooperation are important to our students’ development and provide a well-rounded educational experience for each student.

From kindergarten through 12th grade, students participate in a broad offering of programs that provide physical exercise, develop athletic and sports skills, and promote team participation.  We offer a competitive interscholastic sports program for grades 7-12.

Recognizing the strong link between physical and mental faculties, as well as the social and emotional growth that physical activity and team effort promote, we encourage all students to take full advantage of the variety of athletic offerings during their years in the Intermediate and Upper Schools.
