The Potomac School Journal of World History
Students in James Kessler’s Global Studies II class tackled a semester long research project that culminated in the “publication” of an academic journal showcasing their individual papers. The project emphasized the research process, including the use of primary source materials. The students also learned various methods of presenting their research findings, giving them a taste for the craft of the historian. All the students exhibited a deep commitment to the project and a passion for their specific topics – which, as one can see from the titles listed below, covered everything from the global influence of The Beatles to the international controversy surrounding stem cell research.
