The Alumni Governing Council and The Potomac School Alumni Office are pleased to welcome you back for Reunion Weekend, April 27 & 28.

Registration, Check-In and Alumni Lounge.

Reunite with your classmates while looking through yearbooks and photos in the Alumni Lounge.

9:30 - 11:45am
Back to Class.
Drop into one of our many classes from kindergarten to calculus. Pick up your schedule in the Flag Circle Building.

12:00 - 1:00pm
Lunch Time
The Charles Engelhard Library -- Upper School
Enjoy lunch with classmates, faculty, and students. Head of School John Kowalik and Sandy Gentles ’94, president of the Alumni Governing Council, will welcome our Reunion attendees.

1:00 - 2:30pm

May Day Celebration.
Please rise for the processional and join the Potomac May Day celebration. The dances and songs draws from more than 800 years of traditional music. Performances include an array talent—hand bell ringers, string players, jugglers, tumblers, a button accordionist, and faculty members performing the Morris men dance.

A very special celebration is planned for all Golden Alumni, Silver Alumni, and their guests. Head of School John Kowalik will host the Classes of 1967 and 1992, plus every class that has surpassed the 50-year reunion milestone, as well as past faculty.

Intermediate School Commons
Share a spectacular evening reconnecting with fellow alumni and past and current faculty. Reminisce and catch up on all the news! Food and drinks will be plentiful.

w school bus to take revelers from the Friday night All-Alumni Cocktail Reception to 14th and U Streets, for easy access to the Metro or Hawthorne's. (small fee)

Join our new director of admission, Carson Roy for an insiders tour. Learn about our programs both inside and outside of the classroom.

Reunion Brunch
The Ramsey Assembly

Celebrate with Head of School John Kowalik at the Reunion brunch in Ramsey Assembly, located in the Lower School. Learn about Potomac today from a fabulous panel of students, and hear about what’s coming up from the Alumni Governing Council. We will also announce the winners of two important awards: The Alumni Governing Council Award, presented to the Reunion class achieving the highest participation in the Potomac Fund, and The Class of 1991 Award celebrates the class achieving the highest level of philanthropic leadership by Reunion weekend.

12:15 - 1:15 pmTrail Walks
The forests, streams, ponds, and fields of our 90-acre campus have been part of The Potomac tradition since Dur Morton established the trails in the 1950s. Join Environmental Sustainability Coordinator, Albert Pingree ’00 for a memorable walk through the woods.

12:15 pmIt’s Recess
The Lower School playground is open. Bring your family and enjoy time playing on the equipment, bouncing balls, playing hide-n-seek, and more. Juice boxes and snacks for everyone!

Logistics
  • Babysitting will be available. Registration and reservations will be required for the Friday Evening Event and Saturday Brunch.
  • Bookstore open all day Friday.
  • Parking: In consideration of our neighbors, all parents, students, staff, visiting teams, and guests of The Potomac School are requested not to park on surrounding residential streets. Ample parking is available on the school grounds.
