Medical Insurance
The school offers two health plans (POS Open-Access and HMO Open-Access).
Dental Insurance
The school offers a dental insurance policy for the employee and family.
Retirement Plan
Employees are eligible to join the Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association (TIAA) and the College Retirement Equity Plan (CREF) or Fidelity Retirement Services. If the employee contributes 5% of contracted salary to TIAA/CREF or Fidelity, the school will contribute 7% of the contracted salary for the first 5 years, 8% at the beginning of the 6th year, 9% at the beginning of the 11th year, 10% at the beginning of the 16th year and 11% at the beginning of the 21st year.
Supplemental Retirement
The school offers employees the opportunity to contribute to a retirement program that is over and above the regular TIAA/CREF and Fidelity plans. Employee contributions are exempt from taxation until withdrawn by the individual. The school makes no matching contribution.
Life Insurance
The school pays the premiums for term insurance equal to twice the employee’s contracted salary.
Accidental Death & Dismemberment
The school pays the premiums for accident and dismemberment insurance.
Disability Insurance
The school pays the premiums on a long-term disability policy for the employee.
Flexible Spending Account
Employees can elect to have designated pre-tax salary amounts deducted from their pay for dependent care and medical expenses (not covered by the school’s health plan).
Sick Leave
Full-time employees earn one day of sick leave per month for a total of 10 days per year. Sick leave may be accumulated to a maximum of 30 days.
Vacation
As specified in the employee contract.
Tuition Assistance
For courses approved by the division heads, the school will pay 50% of the cost of tuition for up to six semester hours per year (depending on the availability of funds).
Cafeteria
Employees may eat in the Upper School cafeteria or have their lunch delivered daily for a nominal fee.
